Those enrolled in an outpatient program do not have the same constant support from other patients and the staff. During the course of the day, those undergoing outpatient will get some support from the staff and other patients. These programs often include small group counseling sessions where patients can listen to others with similar problems. They often get to talk about their own problems at these sessions. The patients usually get individual counseling from members of the staff who have great experience helping people with addictions.
Outpatient often includes daily meetings with other suffering with the same addictions. These daily sessions provide support to continue with the program in order to conquer the addiction.
